    Tell your partner:

“i will pack us a pick-i-nic basket” and that you will “look up at the stars” and listen to this album.

    1. I had never heard of HBMS before “White People”, and i must say I am in LOVE.

    2. I read every customer review and to all yall who gave this album two stars and then attempted to write “intellectual” BS about how this album just doesn’t cut it, you need to stop because a) you sound like you’re trying too hard to come off as some well-schooled music critic who has a stick stuck up his/her ass, and b) people create music for others’ enjoyment…i guess what I’m trying to say is, if you don’t like it, fine. It’s your opinion, but PLEASE don’t write an entire review picking apart the album…especially when it’s painfully obvious that you’re in the minority.

    3. Despite the fact that Linkin Park appears on this disc, if you are, for the most part, an unbiased music lover, you should seriously consider purchasing this album.

..TO BEGIN IM A BIG H.B.M.S FAN, BUT I DID’NT REALLY FEEL THIS ALBUM, LIKE ONE REVIEWER SAID, ITS NOT FOR EVERYBODY, IF YOU’RE A 1ST TIME BUYER,GET THEIR FIRST ALBUM, THEN SNATCH THIS ONE UP, IT WAS MORE LIKE ALTERNATIVE HIP-HOP, BESIDES THAT, DEL & BARRINGTON LEVY’S “WORLD GONE MAD” IS A DOPE TRACK,BEAT IS FLAWLESS AND DEL FLOWS WITH IT PRECISELY…ALSO IN MY OPINION,THE TIM MEADOWS SKITS DIDNT NEED TO BE IN THERE. PEACE.

Allright, I have been listening to both the Automator and Prince Paul tighten their game for like years. And they are about to blow up!! Don’t be suprised to see this album finally get them some recognition. I’d rather see them stay on the underground, if you can’t feel this album you have to be ethier mute or in a coma. This album should be called MUSIC brought to you by Hip-Hop, illustrated by Prince Paul and The Automator. Each track has it’s own feel, and the album flows like water. I appreciate the composition of the album, rather then skipping around tracks when you buy an album the tracks build on each other which is a talent that both of these producers have refined over the years. Ahh! I read a comment that this album didn’t have enough rapping. Do your homework and you’ll find that hip-hop isn’t just rapping, hip-hop is culture and bringing artforms together, like…. WHAT! Similar to The Love Below this album is will be a great turning point for hip-hop to get away from the same old #@##! So pick it up, pay your $60 join the Handsome Boy Modeling School, and one day you can tell your kids you were “Cool”.

I’m not much of a hip-hop fan. With the exception of a few greats (most specifically Outkast) I find most of it pretty tedious. There are some good beats, maybe a few good rhymes, but all-in-all it’s just too damn commercial and self-aggrandizing, with little real musical merit. Just like their alternative rock cousins, hip hop artists come up with one great beat then put 10 other junk songs or skits together and call it an album. Then something like the HBMS comes along to remind me why I still keep looking through the hip hop bin at my local record store. The beats are graceful and strong. Cat Power, Jack Johnson, De La Soul, and a bunch of others make their beautiful marks, while Dan the Automator and Prince Paul keep it tight. This disc is so good, and consistenly good, it pretty much makes me want to get out on the dance floor and shake my skinny white a–, which is saying something, as my a– is quite skinny, and quite white.

A must buy for all beat heads out there.
