They both had some positive comments about me, they said that I had beautiful eyes, nice posture, and how I was photogenic, but they both commented on my height, which I know, in runway modeling, is one of the biggest concerns, and I am 5′6 and 1/2 inches. This was my first day of trying to start my career as a model..and I feel disappointed already. I don’t even feel like going to the other open calls I have listed for the next few weeks…will it get any worse than this? or should I just quit now. I felt so motivated this morning..I think I may have just overdone it. I wasn’t aware that it’s good to go in with casual but form-fitting clothes, and wearing very little makeup. I actually went in with high boots, a skirt and dressy top..and pretty much went all out with the makeup. I just wanted to look my best… 
I’m so down right now. I guess I will learn to take criticizm better as I go through it, right?

the truth about me. U might have seen my face before. I am the girl from the abercrombie kids bag. I never knew i would be on the bag and this is wat im afraid of. NOw everyone at my school all want t obe my friend. They think they will get discounts on clothes. Every boy wants to date me and its hard cuz i never had alot of friends and was alwayhs the shy one. I dont know if being an abercrombie kids model was a bad choice. Now to make it worse my parents r thinking ok buying 50 cents farmington house which will make me even more popular. Give me advice. I dont know if theese people are just using me. Dont think im a rich snob who doesnt appriceate life cuz im not . People r just getting supiuous. remember first 20 get 10 points.

I live in Maryland and I would like to do some casting calls. I have had some experience in plays and on my own time. I would like to know some websites that are actually legit and real and that doesn’t charge a fee to look up casting calls. And if this helps, I am 19 and I’m a big guy
Cosmetic Eye Surgery for more Slanted Eye Look?? Help!?

I have a consultation with a surgeon tomorrow for my canthopexy that I am going to get to pronounce the slant in my eye…………thus giving me a oriental/exotic eye look. For those of you who are wondering what they would look like: Just picture a black girl with weave braids and her hair pulled REALLY tight::.lol. I want to know do you think I will look weird? I ALREADY have slanted eyes, i just want this surgery to pronounce the slant, slanting it even more. How much slanting should i ask for? I am light brown skinned and people always ask me when I have my hair tight, am I of oriental descent. I think oriental’s eyes are THE BEST. They are sooo beautiful.

No. I wasn’t going for a “super slanted” look where it would look like a “line”, lol. More of a slant, but NOT like a cat’s eye or something. I will go to my consultation and just get a feel and see her patient’s before and after pictures.
Are you sure nothing came up under her name? It is” Lashontae Heckert. Try to google it or do it through yahoo. She played in the movie “ATL” as TI’s ex-girflriend.

Dr. Zudin::.I appreciate the answer greatly. However, I am NOT asking for sagging skin to be super tightened. I am ONLY getting a minor tightening of the corner of my eyes. Thanks for the advice. And, I will be sure to mention that to my surgeon.

Modeling clothes, size 4 jeans good?

so i do read to wear runway, and i went into this store to get fitted. i’m 5′9. the store owners brought me small sized dresses, which were just too dang tight (i have a pretty broad back, larger bones, etc, lean muscle). so they brought out large dresses which fit better. i wear a size 4 dress in all other stores, but these dresses here were S M L, never have heard of the brands but honestly they looked kind of cheap. like maybe they were made in a country that fits clothes to malnourished children, i dunno.
so then they brought out size 4 pants. i never really wear pants. the pants fit great. i was wondering is this a good size? remember im not a runway model in new york, just do print and ready to wear, but for some reason i left the store feeling fat and inadequate because the “small” dresses didn’t fit. i guess my question is, why did the dresses not fit?

I’m seventeen, & i graduated from Barbizon Modeling/Acting school about 3 years ago. Since then I have not found a gig, basically the school didn’t help me. I want to really get into it before it gets too late.I dont want to be extremely famous, I just enjoy the adrenaline rush i get as i hit the runway.I want to build up a portfolio& learn how to really get a good agent to help me out, everything take’s money. Can somebody get me in the right direction that has experience?
